I'm an enthusiastic home cook who loves trying new recipes, retro kitchen wares, preserving, and never following package directions. 

I come from a long line of accomplished cooks, and I love to share food with others. I have an inability to leave "well enough alone" when it comes to even the most standard recipes, and I generally avoid kitchen timers. 

In my other lives I am a college teacher, scholar of L.M. Montgomery, nerd, and crafter.
